Monday Update 3/26/12

Happy Monday. Right now we're working on a material that knocks the player backward upon cast. This is one of my personal favorites, since you can do some crazy jumps with it. We've got the boss for the castle pretty much done, and I think he's going to be very fun to fight. We've also made the goblins from the forest quite a bit smarter, they'll pursue you if attacked or they notice you. We're looking for feedback on everything, so follow us on Facebook, and Twitter.

Monday Update 3/19/12

We're going to start doing regular updates to let our followers know what we're up to.  For our next alpha release we'll have some more variety in spell effects, a new area to explore, and a new boss. The next area we're releasing is a dark castle, so naturally we're giving you the ability to cast light effect spells, as well as the ability to take 2 spells with you on your adventures. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, and Twitter, we should have a video highlighting the new spell effects pretty soon.

OpenAL32.dll temporary fix

UPDATE: this issue has been resolved. See the Download Page for more information.

Hey all!

Some players are experiencing an issue with "OpenAL32.dll". This is a relatively common file that we overlooked when putting together the release build. Sorry!

While we put together a fixed build, here is a fix that should work:

1. Download "oalinst", the OpenAL installer at the OpenAL Official Download Page
2. Restart your computer (if prompted)
3. Attempt to run Magicmaker.

If the problem persists, please contact us with further details at TastyStewdios@gmail.com.

An announcement of the new, complete build will be posted on this blog, as well as on Twitter and Facebook, when we've made sure everything is working.

Thanks!
