Almost done with the forest rework!

  1. I like what you've done with the leaves. Gives them some detail and breaks up how solid they were. The little branches and curls on large trees are also quite nice. On the other hand, the bottom side of the grass seems like it shouldn't be to pointed. Maybe being a bit rounded would be better?

    1. You might be on to something. I'll try it out and see if I like the result.

  2. Leaves are much better now. It would prevent me from mistaking it to solid blocks.
But the grass and... er, wooden wall? those things looks like it would hurt me when touched. :)

Have you done with the hub and other dungeons art?

    1. Yeah I kinda went overboard with the wood wall.

Visually, I really like the spiky grass but it does look a lot more threatening than it really is. I'll have to continue to iterate on before release.

I haven't even started the castle or desert reworks yet. It looks like it will take me two to four weeks per rework, depending on things.

Fortunately the hub is composed of all the other level's tilesets, so that will gradually get done as I work out everything else.

  3. I love everything, it's all got a lot more personality, a lot more vibrance...but I still hate the character. :o(

    1. As an amendment, are you going to work on the spells/wand area as well? It's extremely difficult to see what's going on down there in most cases.

    2. Short and anticlimactic answer: Yes

    1. Right now we are focusing on the art rework, but we will continue to improve the core gameplay.
