Magicmaker: A Retrospective

Magicmaker has come a long way in its two years of development. It's hard to imagine that it was once a 3D game with randomly generated enemies, so we put together a video timeline to showcase the huge strides we've taken in development. Enjoy!

    1. Magicmaker originally started development as a 3D game but was reworked as 2D early on when we realized it was extremely unrealistic to think any of us could produce 3D art assets. Also a lot of the materials that we had at that point (like the Ton of Bricks and the Slime Heart) work better in a 2D space.
